In the UK, full-service market research agency MASMI has named former Synovate director Michalis Michael as Managing Director for Western Europe.
MASMI has offices across Central/Eastern Europe and the Middle East, as well as operations in Western Europe.
Michael joins the London team from inventory services specialist RGIS, where he was the US-based MD of Retail Service. Prior to this, he was EVP and Head of ViewsNet online research at Synovate, where he earlier served as MD for Central Europe, based in Warsaw, Poland.
Group CEO Nicos Rossides says that in addition to expanding the firm's traditional business across continental Europe, Michael will lead MASMI's online research offerings, which include online data collection and community panels, as well as qualitative research.
The company has also appointed Himanshu Vaishampayan in a group-wide account leadership role, based in London. In this position, he will be responsible for further developing partnerships with MASMI's largest clients across the company's 11 markets.
Vaishampayan joins after 15 years with Royal Dutch Shell in the UK and India, most recently in a global role implementing the company's corporate brand strategy across all Shell businesses. He earlier worked with Oberoi Hotels, Lintas Advertising and Hindustan Lever in marketing roles based in India.
