US marcoms network MDC Partners has acquired a majority interest in media analytics firm Integrated Media Solutions (IMS). Terms were not disclosed.
IMS was founded in 2002 by Bob Ingram, Desiree Du Mont and Ron Corvino and is based in Los Angeles and New York. Its team of more than 130 specializes in direct response media, and in analytics that study and analyze performance across and within each channel.
MDC will position the new arrival as part of its Performance Marketing Services Group, which houses firms that use data analytics and provide consumer insights to offer targetable, measurable marketing and advertising solutions.
Last year, MDC formed a Consumer Insights Group to develop data and analytics capabilities for use by the group's companies, and also acquired Communifx, a data analytics and database marketing firm.
