US marketing technology firm Acxiom has acquired a controlling stake in GoDigital, a data quality and marketing company based in Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre, Brazil. Terms were not disclosed.
Acxiom's technology and services combine consumer data and analytics, databases, data integration and consulting solutions for personalized, multichannel marketing strategies.
Founded in 2000, GoDigital has two proprietary products - GoQuality, which offers data quality management; and Claridata, a web-based suite that offers multichannel marketing campaign management and geo-analytical indicators for targeted marketing and campaign analysis.
These platforms allow companies to incorporate their own databases with GoDigital's data analysis tools. Then, through a web-based interface, Claridata can add countrywide and street-level marketing, market intelligence and campaign results and analysis.
'GoDigital has the platforms necessary for creating customer engagements from consumer insights,' stated Acxiom CEO John Meyer. 'This is an exact alignment with Acxiom's global vision and corporate strategy.'
The operation will be led by GoDigital founder and CEO José Cesar Martins.
