Vancouver-based youth specialist The Sound Research has opened an office in Toronto, headed by former Youthography Director of Research and Strategy, Barbara Brooks.
The Sound Research has additional operations in New York and London. Earlier this year it launched 'The Sound TV', an online video insight tool to analyze the behaviour and outlook of the 16-29 year-olds who broadcast on it.
Brooks previously worked for youth-focused full service market research agency Youthography, which closed earlier in the year. She has 14 years' experience in the advertising and research sectors, and prior to her four years at Youthography worked at agencies Dentsu Canada, MacLaren McCann, Foote Cone and Belding, and BBDO.
'We've been looking to find the right person to launch The Sound in Toronto for some time,' explained founder Ian Pierpoint. 'We love the city and we're excited about having a team there.'
