In the US, full service market research firm Burke Inc. has completed the move of its headquarters to new offices on a seven acre site in downtown Cincinnati, housing around 200 members of staff.
Founded in 1931, employee owned Burke offers analytical techniques and technology to companies across all major industry sectors. The firm has 19 offices around the country, including one in West Chester and a telephone center in Milford.
In addition, Burke Inc. provides marketing research and consumer insights education through the Burke Institute, where it has trained more than 70,000 participants from 10,000 companies.
In the last three years, the firm has spent $17.5m on the HQ move from the Centennial Plaza complex on Central Avenue to the new offices on 500 West 7th Street, including the purchase price of the property and construction costs.
'Most options presented an inconvenience to some segment of our employee base in terms of commute time, and many employees like the convenience of being near downtown where you can walk to stores and restaurants,' explains CEO Michael Baumgardner. 'I have always thought this property was ideal for our headquarters as its acreage provides a campus-like setting as well as ample parking for employees.'
