WorldOne Opens Tokyo Office

Healthcare data collection specialist WorldOne has opened an office in Tokyo, to be led by Katsuhiko Niga and Takahito Asano.

WorldOne employs more than 120 staff and offers both online and offline access to medical professionals in more than 80 countries. Offices are in São Paulo, Vilnius, Barcelona, and Charlotte, North Carolina, with regional headquarters in London and Hong Kong.

Niga previously worked at clinical data specialist Phase Forward, and at Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim, Nippon Wellcome and Glaxo Wellcome, while Asano's career has included spells at healthcare informatics company Convergence CT, and Oracle Japan where he served as Healthcare Industry Sales Director and Public Sector Sales Senior Manager.

CEO Peter Kirk says the opening of the Tokyo office will further accelerate his firm's panel development in Japan. He comments: 'Niga san and Asano san bring to WorldOne invaluable insight into Japan's complex medical industry. Utilizing their established relationships with numerous key opinion leaders, hospitals, pharmacies, and medical technology developers, we can expedite the development of our Asian resources to meet increased demand in the region.'
