Online panel and technology firm uSamp has reported a 167% rise in revenue for the past year, which it says was driven by an increase in use of global consumer panels and river sampling, along with growth in tracking studies following its recent acquisition of DMS Insights.
Founded as United Sample in 2008 by panel industry veterans Matt Dusig and Gregg Lavin, uSamp has a global proprietary panel with more than two million registered participants from six continents.
Earlier this summer, the firm acquired online research specialist DMS Insights, creator of the river sample method.
In addition, uSamp recently expanded its team of software developers and accelerated its investment in areas such as mobile surveys. The company now employs 145 team members - of whom 48 focus on technology development - in Los Angeles, Dallas, Trumbull, CT, London and New Delhi.
Dusig has also announced plans to double the rate of investment in uSamp's technology platform, which will include a developer's kit and APIs (application programming interface).
'SampleMarket release 2.0 will be unveiled in the fourth quarter as part of our continuing evolution toward the simplification and automation of sample delivery for market research companies,' says Dusig. 'We have a vision for the future of online sampling, and we're taking another tremendous step toward it.'
