Panels and MR technology firm Toluna has hired former Harris Interactive leader Dr. George Terhanian as its Group Chief Strategy and Products Officer.
Harris announced less than two weeks ago that Terhanian was leaving his job as President, Global Solutions. He was previously the company's top man in Europe.
In his new role, Terhanian will oversee Toluna's strategy in defining and implementing new products and services, and will work closely with CEO Frédéric-Charles Petit and with the newly hired President of Toluna North America, Jeff Scott.
Frédéric-Charles Petit, Founder and Chief Executive of Toluna, comments: 'We are pleased to have George join us at a time when so many changes are happening in our industry. George' pursuit of quality, as well as his deep understanding of digital market research will help us continue on our path of delivering best practices and innovation to the market research industry.'
Terhanian says that while he enjoyed his 14 years at Harris Interactive immensely, he is joining Toluna during 'an exciting, evolutionary period'. He adds: 'The company has always been forward thinking, and among the very first in the space to think beyond the traditional online panel model to a respondent 'community,' and a true value proposition.'
Toluna recently reported a 164% increase in revenues to £36.2m for the six months ended 30 June 2010, along with the successful integration of Greenfield Online. The company has 17 offices in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific and is online at www.toluna.com .
