Panels and MR technology firm Toluna has launched SafeView, a system to ensure the confidentiality of client concepts tested with online survey respondents.SafeView is a Java-based programme that works in conjunction with a firm's Flash player. The solution prohibits survey respondents from saving images, video and audio files locally, or forwarding them to others.
To do this, it disables the ability to use a mouse to 'right click' on concepts, the 'save as' and 'print' options, and the ability to show the 'Windows Clipboard'. It also protects against screen capture technology.
Chief Revenue Officer Ron Franscella explains: 'In our business, anything that is burdensome or limiting to the universe of respondents negatively impacts the research conducted. SafeView is easy-to-use and highly compatible, ensuring broader, more representative respondent adoption.'
