London-based brand research specialist Drummond Madell has rebranded as Relish Research, and opened a new division called Relish North near Leeds.
The Chiswick-based firm conducts both qual and quant research in areas such as brand and advertising tracking, brand positioning, new product development and advertising and communications development. The rebrand follows the exit of senior partner John Madell, who recently sold his share of the business to colleague Monique Drummond (pictured).
Drummond says the new name reflects the way her team approaches client work. 'The name reflects our passion for the industry, and is a real statement that we are doing things differently, and have new people and new methods,' she suggests.
Relish North is led by Head of Quantitative, Louisa Carey Yard, who joined the company in October from Hall and Partners, and Qualitative Account Director Richard Brown.
'We're very excited about the opportunity of growing a strong base of Northern clients, and feel it is an ideal time to launch in Leeds,' states Carey Yard.
Separately, Simon Thompson has been promoted to the position of Director and Hetta Bramley has joined the firm as a Director. Thompson has been with the company for a year, prior to which, he was an AD at Prescient, where he focussed on branding and communications research across a variety of sectors. Bramley joins from Synovate, where she worked in the qual specialist team across the consumer goods and services, financial and retail sectors. Before this, she was a member of the insight team at media agency MediaCom, and worked at research consultancy SMRC ChildWise.
