US technology industry analyst The 451 Group has acquired TheInfoPro, a New York-based advisory and research firm which provides analysis of the technology vendor landscape. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1999, The 451 Group provides insight into the IT market and information on its emerging technology segments. The company is headquartered in New York, with offices in San Francisco, Washington, DC, London, Boston, Seattle and Denver.
Post-acquisition, TheInfoPro will become a division of The 451 Group, and its team will join the group, bringing its employee headcount to165.
TheInfoPro's research methodology was developed by founder Ken Male (pictured), and is based on personal interviews conducted with more than a thousand enterprise IT decision-makers, multiple times each year.
