Indian digital marketing and analytics platform Sokrati - built by three former Amazon execs - has secured an undisclosed amount of Series A funding.Founded in January 2009 by Ashish Mehta, Santosh Gannavarapu and Anubhav Sonthalia, Sokrati offers automated and scientific paid-search and social media marketing technology for advertisers and agencies.
The tool can also provide analytics and metrics to track and evaluate user behavior from multiple sources, including a 'universal tracking' platform that can be configured to track performance for a variety of campaigns such as e-mail, search, display, social media etc., and a free audit program to analyse 'missed opportunities' and advise on improvements for existing campaigns.
Funding has been led by Inventus Capital Partners, whose MDs John Dougery and Samir Kumar (pictured) will join Sokrati's Board of Directors.
'We are very excited & honored to partner with Inventus, as we continue to aggressively innovate in the digital marketing space,' says Mehta. 'The funds will be utilized to expand our reach internationally and build a unified, scalable and intelligent online marketing platform for advertisers and agencies alike.'
