In the US, Ipsos OTX MediaCT has appointed Eric Villain to the newly created role of President, Media & Technology, to lead a team unifying these previously separate specialisms.
Based in Los Angeles, his first duty will be to align the company's media and technology / communications business lines and reorganize its service structure accordingly. Villain says unifying the teams will create 'a larger, synergistically stronger, more cohesive and efficient business unit', giving researchers and clients 'greater product innovation, more robust solutions and richer information.'
He joined OTX around four years ago, and has more than a quarter century of experience in brand development, marketing insight, and advertising, focused around helping clients understand their communications and brand equity. Past employers include McCann Erickson, Burke International, Millward Brown and Added Value.
The firm's US President Bruce Friend comments: 'Since joining the company just over four years ago, Eric has transformed our media, content and technology businesses and client base by vastly improving our product and service offerings, while significantly raising the level of client service and the quality of data, deliverables and insights.'
