US-based cleantech market research and consulting firm Pike Research has opened an AsiaPac regional headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, which will serve a hub for the growth of its market intelligence and client service teams in the region.
Pike was founded in 2009 by former ABI Research leader Clint Wheelock, to provide market research and industry analysis for the global clean technology markets. The firm now has US offices in Boulder, CO, and Washington, DC and a European HQ in London.
The firm says initial members of its new team include veteran industry analysts and business development professionals with many years of combined experience from leading technology analyst companies.
'Seoul is a global capital of cleantech industry activity, and the Korean government as well as leading technology companies have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to innovating and commercializing clean energy technologies,' explains Wheelock. 'Korea, Japan, and other Asian markets are already a significant part of our worldwide business, and we are very pleased to strengthen our resources in the region as part of this major growth initiative.'
