Nunwood has appointed Alan Bergstrom as its new Head of Brand & Comms Strategy, dividing his time between Madison, Wisconsin and New York.Bergstrom is a former US Air Force man who rose quickly through the ranks at the Pentagon to become a personal advisor to President Ronald Reagan, giving daily foreign policy and security briefings.
Since then he has spent two decades working in brand assessment, brand strategy development and implementation. He founded and led The Brand Consultancy, one of the country's top three branding agencies - and pioneered the concept of 'internal branding'. He also worked recently as North American Vice President for global consultancy Beyond Philosophy.
The news comes shortly after Nunwood revealed a 116 per cent rise in annual growth in the North American division, following the move of co-founder Phil Rushfirth to Los Angeles to boost the firm's West Coast operation.
Bergstrom will report to Chief Strategy Officer David Conway, who comments: 'Alan's arrival at Nunwood is a tribute to our growing global reputation. His experience and expertise is second to none, his innovation and insight recognised and respected throughout our industry... I am confident his leadership of our Brand Strategy function will make a significant difference to what we offer in this area.'
UK-based Nunwood operates worldwide, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, Leeds, Amsterdam, Sydney and Auckland, and is online at www.nunwood.com .
