Eye tracking specialist Tobii Technology has launched a new testing solution, which it claims is the first to be specifically designed for usability studies on mobile devices and mobile applications.
Stockholm, Sweden-based Tobii develops technology that makes it possible for computers to know exactly where users are looking. GfK recently invested in Tobii's entire range of eye tracking tools to perform projection, on-screen and real world studies in lab and shopping environments.
The newly launched 'Tobii X60/X120 Mobile Device Testing Solution' has been developed to help the mobile industry understand what consumers see when using handheld gadgets.
Tom Englund, EVP of Analysis Solutions, says the tool will give mobile developers and manufacturers 'insights to help develop devices and apps that are easier to use, design mobile ads that are more impactful, and create a better user experience overall for consumers.'
