In the UK, online research specialist YouGov has issued a number of new shares as part payment for the acquisition of the remaining 49% of YouGovStone, the opinion leader panels joint venture it established in 2007 with networking guru Carole Stone.
Before founding the company, Stone worked at the BBC as Producer of Radio 4s Any Questions, and ran her own consultancy. In addition to its opinion leader panels, YouGovStone runs a service to conduct online research with Members of Parliament in Westminster and a monthly invitation-only 'opinion formers' club.
YouGov has approved the issue of 228,833 new shares as part consideration for the purchase of the remaining stake in YouGovStone, in which it currently holds a 51% share.
