In the United Arab Emirates, Tamara Deprez is to leave her post as Head of online agency Yahoo! Maktoob Research at the end of July. She has not yet decided what her next career move will be.
Deprez set up Maktoob Research in 2006, and sold it three years later to Yahoo! Before this, she held research management positions at Ipsos Dubai, Motivaction International and TNS NIPO.
She described Yahoo! Maktoob Research as a 'vital part' of the Yahoo! Maktoob business and said that the firm will continue to invest in developing and bringing in global products and tools to service its clients.
Deprez says her decision to leave was a difficult one, but looks forward to taking on new challenges. 'It has been an incredible journey for me,' she comments, 'and I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity and gratified to see Yahoo! Maktoob Research today as the leader in online research in the Middle East with a global client base.'
Her replacement is expected to be announced within the coming month.
Separately, the firm parted company last week with business developer Sameh Lutfi, with no replacement apparently planned.
