Multinational directories giant Yell Group has partnered with word-of-mouth agency Bazaarvoice to provide its more than 1.3 million advertisers with analysis of online customer conversations, as well as insights about online consumer sentiment and behaviour.
Yell, which is best known for being the publisher of the UK Yellow Pages classified on and offline directories, offers a range of digital services such as web site creation, online banner display, and pay-per-click products. The firm's increasing focus on user-generated reviews is borne out by its UK acquisition of local review site trustedplaces.com last year.
Its new partnership is expected to bring Bazaarvoice services - such as the recently launched Bazaarvoice Customer Intelligence conversation analytics tool - directly to Yell's customers.
In return, Bazaarvoice will be given access to Yell's SME clients across the US, UK, Spain and Latin America.
'This is a tremendous opportunity for us to extend our reach globally to new clients of all sizes,' states Brant Barton, co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Bazaarvoice. 'We are excited to partner with Yell, to bring the voice of the customer to businesses in local communities where merging online and offline customer experiences is important to SME growth.'
