Chris Havemann, President and CEO of e-Rewards, is leaving the business to 'pursue new opportunities', but will remain in his current role until a replacement is selected. It is not yet known what his next career move will be.
In 2000, Havemann co-founded Research Now, which was acquired by e-Rewards in 2009 for £85.1m.
Prior to his move into the market research sector, Havemann worked at management consultancy Marakon Associates, was Business Development Manager at Cable & Wireless, a planner at Mercury Communications, and Commercial Officer at Total Oil Marine.
In announcing his planned departure, Havemann said: 'A decision like this is always a tough one to make, but after eleven years, I am confident the time is right. I couldn't be more proud of this company, our great people and the work they do to serve our clients worldwide.'
In a statement, e-Rewards Chairman Don Carty thanked Havemann for his 'vision and leadership', which he said had helped transform the group into a global business, well positioned for future growth.
The firm has begun the recruitment process to find a successor, which it anticipates will take until the end of the year.
