Consumer and retail tracking provider The NPD Group has promoted Tim Bush to the post of Group President for the Asia Pacific region, working out of its offices in Hong Kong.
Bush, who joined the firm in 2000, most recently served as SVP of Corporate Development, managing several significant transactions, including the 2005 acquisition of flat panel specialist DisplaySearch. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice President at Information Resources Inc (IRI), and earlier in his career held executive positions at ACNielsen, American Express and Time Warner.
He adds the new role to existing responsibilities as General Manager of NPD's Technology Analyst Business, which includes DisplaySearch, Solarbuzz and In-Stat.
Bush's main task will be to spearhead the expansion of the group into new countries and markets, supporting its existing presence in Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Taiwan.
Chairman and CEO Tod Johnson comments: 'Asia Pacific is a critical and growing market for our clients, and we are dedicated to continued expansion in the region. Tim has a fantastic track record of building global businesses and will be a major asset to The NPD Group as we move forward in new industries and new countries.'
