US-based research technology firm Decipher has integrated new mobile capabilities into its Beacon DIY research software suite.
Beacon was rolled out last December to integrate Decipher's data collection capabilities with a do-it-yourself graphical interface.
The tool allows users to author their own surveys with numerous question formats, survey designs, multiple languages and branding customization. A reporting portal monitors data collection in real-time, and the platform also incorporates functions such as quality control review tools, data cleaning, archiving and field monitoring.
The upgrade means surveys can be deployed on a range of mobile devices including phones and tablet PCs. The tool detects the type of device each respondent is using, and then delivers an appropriate and optimized survey style.
Decipher President Kristin Luck comments: 'The new Beacon technology is intuitive, both on the front and back ends, so that users of the software can build surveys that work well across all devices. This will ultimately help increase response rates and provide more representative data.'
