Socialbakers Buys, Adds to Coverage

Czech Republic-based social media analytics firm Socialbakers has acquired Social RSS, a feed reader app for Facebook; and has added support for Google+.

Launched in 2009 and with additional offices in the UK and US, Socialbakers helps clients build, measure, and manage their social media presence, monitor competition, and develop best practice benchmarks.

The buy comes just three weeks after the firm raised $2m in venture capital for use in its 'aggressive' growth plans and to extend its technology.

Google+ support augments Socialbakers' existing coverage of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
