In the US, web analytics and performance alert firm Chartbeat, Inc. has raised $975k of a targeted $1m in a debt offering, according to an SEC filing.
Chartbeat provides real-time analytics for web sites and blogs, including minute-by-minute details of current visitors, load times and referring sites, and issues alerts when sites crash or slow drastically. Users can change sites on the fly, reacting to individual customer behaviour and optimising their online experience.
Twelve investors participated in the new round, which followed$3 million in seed capital raised in September of 2010 from backers including Index Ventures, SV Angel, Founder Collective and Lerer Ventures.
Chartbeat was started in 2009 by current CEO Tony Haile, who worked previously as editor of the Middle East and International Terrorism desk at Control Risks.
