Murray Hardie has re-joined brand and comms research specialist Hall & Partners as US Chief Executive Officer, after a 10-year break spent working in comms planning positions. He assumes overall responsibility for US operations from Global CEO Vanella Jackson.
Hardie worked for Hall & Partners from 1993 to 2002, starting in London then moving to the US in 1996 as part of the management team that opened the firm's first US office in New York.
He has spent the last two years as a freelance strategist with Droga5, prior to which he was EVP Chief Planning Officer at Energy BBDO, and Director of Planning at Fallon. His recruitment now reflects the company's strategy to hire planners from the advertising and marketing industries.
Jackson comments: 'Murray is an inspirational leader with huge energy, vision, intellect and talent. He is valued and respected throughout the industry and I look forward to having him lead the US towards our mission to be the most innovative boutique research agency in the world.'
Hardie will be based in the agency's New York office.
