InRev, the owner of social media brand monitoring platform Simplify360, has secured an undisclosed amount of Series A investment, which it plans to use to expand its presence beyond Bangalore to India's biggest cities Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi.
Simplify360's social media analytics, engagement and campaign platform collects data across media including social networks, blogs, news and video sharing sites, and then presents it in charts and graphs.
The firm's funding has been raised through Kolkata-based IT Investor Raj Mishra, who has joined the company's Board of Directors.
As well as investing in new operations, InRev plans to use the fund to recruit a sales team by March 2012.
InRev CEO Bhupendra Khanal (pictured) comments: 'I see this investment as a means to reach our goal to build a world-class tech product company in India, catering to the needs of global customers across the globe. I am confident about my team and I am also positive about the growth plans we have in place.'
