National Research Group (NRG) co-founder Catherine Paura has set up a new firm called Capstone Global Marketing and Research Group, with the aim of 'interpreting the tastes and behaviors of the 21st century entertainment consumer'. She is joined by her sister Angela, former NRG COO, in the new venture.
Paura (pictured) set up NRG with Joseph Farrell, who died in December at the age of 76. Their firm helped introduce Hollywood to the idea of market testing, from concepts to finished films.
Paura's sister Angela will serve as the firm's Chief Operating Officer, having previously held the same role at NRG, and most recently worked as CEO of Advanced Marketing Perspectives Inc., which will now become part of Capstone.
Commenting on the launch, Catherine Paura says: 'Just as audiences have evolved, figuring out how to reach them successfully is a process that has also changed. I am committed to preserving the best traditional research tactics, but also to using a slate of Capstone's newly developed analytical tools. Today's movie marketplace has changed - we need the research paradigm to adapt accordingly.'
