GMO Hires for Planned North American Office

Japan-based GMO Research has appointed Sarah Jang as a Senior Business Development Director for North America, charged with setting up the company's first office in the region.

GMO Research and its subsidiary GMO Japan Market Intelligence (GMO Research/JMI) are part of the GMO Internet Group and offer full service research into the Asian market - methods include online panels, social media research, mobile research, eye tracking and online communities.

The firm, which opened a UK office in February and appointed Jonathan Sheldrake to lead it as European Sales Director, says it will open a US West Coast office later this year.

Jang has officially joined GMO Research/JMI already but will remain at its Tokyo headquarters until the end of August. She worked previously for AIP Corporation, heading up its sales activities in the US, and gained in-depth experience of online survey research while at AIP Corporation in Japan and AIP NY CO LTD in New York.
