Global ad agency Publicis has acquired Mumbai-based Resultrix, which offers a full suite of digital services covering SEO, web analytics, media buying and social media marketing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Resultrix, which was founded in 2008, has offices in India, Singapore, the UAE and the USA, and Publicis says the acquisition strengthens its own presence in India. The firm's Analytics team - which specialises in using Google and Omniture software - focuses on data mining, and analysis of where site visitors come from, what pages they visit, how long they stay, and what they buy.
Following the acquisition, Resultrix will retain its identity and operate as a unit within Performics. Its founders, CEO Vidur Luthra (pictured), and COO Gulrez Alam will continue to lead the agency and will report into Daina Middleton, Global CEO for Performics and Gareth Mulryan, MD of Performics, Asia Pacific.
Luthra comments: 'We were founded on the belief that digital advertising provides the opportunity to disrupt the traditional media business models and this is a great opportunity to join a network that is renowned for being at the forefront of the industry. It allows us to realise our ambitions and leverage our skills, strengths and experience across a larger group footprint which is of huge benefit to our clients and teams.'
