Consumer and retail specialist The NPD Group has restructured its European management team in response to what it describes as the 'changing needs' of clients and retail partners. As part of the reshuffle, David Pritchard has been named General Manager of Commercial Activity.
Founded in 1967, The NPD Group is headquartered in Port Washington, NY, with additional offices across the US, Asia Pacific and Europe. Through its consumer panel, retail sales tracking services, special reports and custom research, the firm offers data on who is buying what, where, and why at international, national and store levels.
Pritchard (pictured), who was previously Head of NPD's European Toys sales tracking business, will now lead and develop all NPD business in Europe. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he was a Digital Media Consultant for Synacor; Senior Director for Entertainment at Terra Lycos, and Senior Director of Marketing at Wired Digital.
Reporting to Pritchard are Anne De Chanaleilles, SVP of Sports and Toys for Europe and Russia; Martine Ringwald, SVP of Beauty for Europe; Jochen Pinsker, SVP of Foodservice Europe/Russia and European Sales; and Giovanna Pirrone, Executive Director of Retail Business Group for Europe.
