Vivek Banerji, formerly a consumer and shopper marketing specialist at consultants McKinsey & Company, has joined UK consumer specialist Incite as a Director.
Founded in 2000, London-based Incite employs 52 staff and has a client base which includes international consumer facing businesses in the FMCG, technology and other sectors. In February, the company was acquired by printing group St Ives in a deal valued at up to £11.4m.
At McKinsey, Banerji (pictured) was one of the leaders of the Global Consumer and Shopper Insights practice, and created and co-led the firm's consumer and patient behaviour service, which focused on issues such as smoking cessation and weight management. Prior to joining, in 2002, he was the Director of Marketing at tech start-up Paramark; Marketing Research Manager at Pepsico; and Research Director in the Indian Market Research Bureau, an affiliate of Millward Brown.
In his new role, Banerji will work with clients on behaviour change initiatives, with a particular focus on healthcare.
MD Roger Banks comments: 'Vivek is constantly bringing learning from different disciplines such as cognitive neuroscience and behavioural economics to bear on research. His combination of creative and analytical thinking and his experience in innovative research both in consultancies and client-side, make him a real asset to Incite.'
