Canadian polling firm Leger Marketing has acquired a majority stake in Montreal-based software company Agility Metrics, which specializes in developing customer experience management solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1986, Leger Marketing has more than 600 employees in offices in Canada, the US and Switzerland, and also owns a panel of more than 400,000 consumers.
Leger says this - its seventh acquisition - will strengthen its ability to measure customer experience by integrating Agility Metrics' data collection and real-time reporting solutions into its own portfolio of qual and quant market research services.
Agility will be renamed Leger Metrics, and founder Richard Pridham will continue to serve as President & CEO and remain a shareholder. Co-founder Steve Perrone also remains a shareholder and will continue in the position of VP Client Solutions and Services.
Jean-Marc Léger (pictured), President of Leger Marketing, says the acquisition will provide Agility with the necessary capital to fuel its growth plans, adding: 'Agility Metrics has unique expertise and technology, which enables it to provide an accurate and real-time measurement of the omni-channel customer experience, whether at point-of-sale, online, on mobile devices, or at the product level. This solution complements Leger Marketing's offer for measuring customer experience.'
