Revenue at Chime's Insight and Engagement division rose more than 50% to £13.6m in 2012. Operating income was up 53% to £7.6m and operating profit more than tripled to £2.2m from £0.7m.
The Insight and Engagement division is made up of Opinion Leader Research, Facts International and Watermelon Research. Chime described 2012 as an 'extremely successful year' for the division, with strong organic growth and margin levels 'well above the industry norm' - 28.8% against 13.7% in 2011.
In addition, Chime said its digital agency Watermelon is already profitable after just one year in business.
Parent group Chime Communications also reported 'strong growth' in its Sports and Entertainment and Healthcare divisions.
