Healthcare research giant IMS Health has acquired Seattle-based technology firm Appature, which offers clients a patented cloud-based marketing software platform called Nexus. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nexus is designed specifically for healthcare and life sciences companies, and provides an integrated marketing database, campaign management and analytics suite through which clients can optimize and measure their multi-channel marketing programs.
IMS plans to merge the platform with its own healthcare information, analytics and managed services offer. This will extend the IMS One commercial platform, which brings IMS and third-party data together for commercial planning, execution and analytical activities.
Kabir Shahani (pictured), Appature co-founder and CEO comments: 'The combination of Appature and IMS is powerful and will enable clients to more easily achieve strategic and financial goals through a data-driven, customer-centric marketing platform. We look forward to bringing truly game-changing offerings to the marketplace.'
