Pharma data giant IMS Health has announced the acquisition of US marketing technology provider 360 Vantage, with an eye to extending its commercial Software-as-a-Service offer for life sciences and healthcare clients.
360 Vantage, established in 2005 and headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, offers a suite of professional and managed services focused on cloud-based multi-channel CRM and closed loop technology, built on the Salesforce.com platform and including social media tools, customer analytics & reporting, and configurable training & testing. IMS says Vantage's CRM applications will become part of its cloud-based IMS One commercial platform, and will accelerate the delivery of insights across sales and marketing organizations.
The buy follows the recent acquisitions of marketing software firm Appature and social media analytics firm Semantelli.
Chris Nickum, IMS Health's President, Commercial Effectiveness Services, says clients don't lack information but are looking to connect and manage it, and generate actionable insights. Nickum says the result of the acquisition will be to help organizations 'streamline their commercial processes for improved ROI', and 'better analyze data, visualize opportunities and drive measurable gains in performance.' 360 Vantage founder and CEO Mario Martinez II comments: 'Leading life sciences and healthcare organizations place a high value on the ability to get a 360-degree view of every aspect of their business, so they can make informed decisions based on real-time information and analysis.'
