Pharma data giant IMS Health has acquired SaaS firm Incential Software, as it looks to extend its performance management capabilities for life sciences organizations worldwide. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998 by software developer Fin Gold, Incential offers cloud-based technology and services that integrate incentive compensation, data management and business intelligence applications. Incential's solutions will become part of IMS One, the company's commercial platform that combines IMS Health and third-party data for sales, marketing and performance management activities.
Lisa Kerber (pictured), IMS' VP and General Manager, Commercial Effectiveness Services, comments: 'Every life sciences company, across every commercial operation, is looking to tap the power of data-driven, technology-enabled solutions to make their sales compensation plans more efficient, effective and aligned. Through this acquisition, we're bringing together a comprehensive set of evidence-based capabilities and services to transform the way our clients plan and execute their commercial programs.'
The acquisition will also expand IMS Health's portfolio of SaaS solutions, already extended earlier this year through the acquisition of 360 Vantage for multi-channel CRM software capabilities; Appature, which has developed a patented relationship marketing platform; and Semantelli, a provider of social media analytics for the healthcare industry worldwide.
