Echo Research founder and former CEO Sandra Macleod is leaving the company to act as a consultant, advising boards and executives on their approach to reputation management.
The firm has also announced that from next month, it will be re-branded under the name of its parent, Ebiquity.
Macleod (pictured) set up communications and reputation analysis specialist Echo Research in 1999. The company was sold to media and marketing analytics firm Ebiquity in 2011 for an initial £3.5m plus up to £10m based on performance over two years.
Following the acquisition, Macleod led the integration of Echo into the parent company, and most recently has been focusing on growing global client relationships and operations across Ebiquity. In her new consultancy role, she will draw upon Ebiquity's range of services where clients require additional research and data-driven insights.
Michael Greenlees, CEO of Ebiquity, comments: 'Sandra has spearheaded the reputation research business, and served her clients, team members, and partners with tremendous energy and dedication over the past 24 years. We are grateful for her ambitious and thoughtful leadership. The relationship we have put in place enables her to continue to contribute her knowledge and experience to further the growth of Ebiquity's insights across the earned, owned and paid marketing communications landscape.'
