IP intelligence and geolocation solutions specialist Digital Element has received a US patent for the hyperlocal geotargeting technology used in its NetAcuity Edge ad targeting solution.
Clients use Digital Element's IP technology to personalize advertising, localize content and video streaming, manage geographic rights and enhance analytics. The NetAcuity Edge technology provides validated IP-to-postcode geographic data by combining routing infrastructure analysis to an approximate city-level location, with anonymous insight gleaned from a network of global partners.
EVP Rob Friedman (pictured) comments: 'The issuance of this patent reinforces the value of not only NetAcuity Edge, but also our other solutions, as a means to help ensure the accurate, reliable and non-invasive online targeting that our customers demand.'
Digital Element already has more than ten patents related to IP geotargeting, DNS targeting, anti-phishing, authentication, IP geointelligent routing and traffic management. The latest is US Patent No. 8,443,107.
