Healthcare Panel for Borderless Access

Online panel provider Borderless Access has introduced a proprietary health & wellness panel, adding to an existing range of niche audience and business market research panels. The new offering covers five countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China and Mexico.

The new health and wellness panelBorderless Access, which launched an online panel in South Korea in March this year, currently operates consumer and b2b panels with 1.4 million members in eleven emerging markets. It also operates an IT panel and niche audience panels in travel, automobile, finance and mobile. The new health and wellness panel is profiled for 34 major ailments, further split into 120 sub-categories; fifteen lifestyle and wellness attributes; and five healthcare access attributes.

Company President Ruchika Gupta lists a large number of factors complicating the process of healthcare opinion research in emerging markets: 'poor insurance penetration, unorganized healthcare delivery, slow acceptance of lifestyle & wellness products, privacy concerns and consumer perception favouring traditional treatments over contemporary practices...' Gupta says the new panel addresses this situation by covering 'not only ailments - but lifestyle, wellness and key healthcare aspects as well.'
