London-based mobile research and sample specialist On Device Research has appointed former Research Now director Martin Tomlinson as Managing Director of its Singapore office, in charge of the South East Asia region.
On Device, which was founded in 2009 by former M:Metrics execs Alistair Hill and Tim Cleminson, uses proprietary technology to deliver targeted data from profiled global respondents. The firm opened its Singapore office a couple of months ago, following a partnership with Millward Brown through which it provides data collection via mobile Internet across the AMAP region.
Tomlinson (pictured) joins with more than a decade of experience. For the past five years he worked at Research Now, latterly as Client Development Director for Asia, and previously in charge of the brand in New Zealand. Prior to this, he worked as Business Development Manager at TNS New Zealand, helping to build the country's first online panel. He began his career at Colmar Brunton.
Alongside his new role, Tomlinson also serves as Vice President of the Market Research Society of Singapore.
Hill comments: 'Martin is a key addition to our team at a time when mobile research has really started taking off in the region. His long record of accomplishments in APAC makes him a brilliant choice for this key position.'
