In London, research and strategy consultancy Quadrangle has promoted former MD Dr Nick Baker to the role of Group Chief Executive.
Quadrangle was founded in 1987 by ad industry execs John Gambles and Christine Hastings, as a specialist unit within the WCRS Group. In 1990 the firm was bought out in an MBO, with a re-focus on market research. The firm now offers a full service specialising in brand planning and customer strategy, with its own data collection division called RED (formerly known as FieldWorks).
Baker (pictured) joined the firm in 2006, having previously worked at Intrepid as a Research Director and begun his research career at Competitive Intelligence Services.. He has served as MD of Quadrangle's research business since 2010, during which time, the business has doubled in size. In his new role, Baker will take on P&L responsibility for the whole Quadrangle Group, including Quadrangle Operations teams and the core Research & Strategy division.
In a statement, the firm said Baker's promotion is part of a new structure, designed to 'underpin ongoing growth plans'.
