Netherlands-based online research and marketing analytics firm MetrixLab has reported a 22% increase in annual revenue to EUR 49m ($67m), with revenues up 25% in the UK.Headquartered in Rotterdam and San Francisco with fifteen offices across the US, Europe and Asia, MetrixLab collects and analyses data from millions of consumers in more than 50 countries.
CEO Han de Groot (pictured) says the firm's increase in revenue has been impacted by several trends which he claims challenge the business model behind the MR industry - including the proliferation of consumer data. de Groot says the firm's new strategic direction is to move away from exclusive reliance on survey data to become a 'data source agnostic' consumer insights provider, and comments: 'We will invest heavily in building a data aggregation, integration and analytics infrastructure'.
