In London, Kantar has invested an undisclosed amount in self-service online research 'app store' platform ZappiStore.
Launched last year by Spring Research founder Stephen Phillips, ZappiStore allows users to purchase access to market research solutions to use in their creative testing and new product development projects.
In October, WPP-firm TNS made an 'express' version of its flagship ConversionModel brand equity tool available on the platform, followed in February by sister company Millward Brown with a DIY version of its eStatic copy-testing solution. Separately, MMR's DIY packaging research tool Impackt Lite is also available through the site.
Kantar CEO Eric Salama said of the investment: 'We want to be able to offer lighter, faster versions of our services to a new set of clients. For that reason, we are very pleased to be building closer ties with ZappiStore, who are a clear leader in this growing field.'
