UK-based mobile video MR specialist VoxPopMe has expanded to Singapore with the appointment of Robert Fry as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. The firm has also launched an app for iPhone, with an Android version available early in 2015.
Founded last year by Dave Carruthers and Andrew Barraclough, VoxPopMe is based in Birmingham and London, and expanded to the US in October. The firm offers a smartphone app through which consumers can provide feedback on brands in the form of video responses direct from their mobile phones. In addition, the platform offers features such as sentiment analysis to determine the attitude of the respondent.
VoxPopMe's new app will allow users to earn between $1 and $2 for recording short video responses to questions that appear in the app. The company plans to use the launch of its app in Singapore as a springboard to begin servicing the wider Asia region, and Fry (pictured) has joined both as MD and as an investor after a career in senior research roles at WPP-owned firms Kantar Software, MediaCom, MindShare and GroupM.
Carruthers comments: 'Robert is a great addition to the VoxPopMe team - having spent the last ten years in Singapore with Mediacom and GroupM he brings not only twenty years of research experience but a tremendous knowledge of the region.'
