Netherlands-based customer insights agency SKIM is to open an office in Singapore in January, led by Director Robin de Rooij.
The company was founded in 1979 and also has offices in London, Geneva, Rotterdam, New York, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro and San José, serving clients in the CPG, healthcare, technology and financial services sectors.
De Rooij (pictured) has been with the firm since 2008, and currently serves as Senior Project Manager in the Rotterdam office. Commenting on the launch, he states: 'The timing is perfect to establish a direct presence in the region, with increasing demand from our existing multinational company clients who are seeking to uncover market opportunities in Asia's high-growth economies through advanced research.'
Founder Dirk Huisman says the launch should fuel new opportunities into other cities in the region, and that finding local partners with in-depth knowledge of the culture, language and relevant socio- economics is vital as the company expands further into Asia.
