In the US, WPP-owned online specialist Lightspeed has appointed former GfK exec David Bilicic as Vice President of Business Development.Bilicic (pictured) joins after nearly five years as an SVP at GfK, prior to which he held senior roles at Research Now and IRI. Earlier, he worked client-side as Director, Sales Operations at Reader's Digest, and at Abbott Laboratories, Taco Bell and Tropicana, having begun his career at Nielsen.
In his new Philadelphia-based role, Bilicic is responsible for expanding client development efforts for Lightspeed GMI and Lightspeed All Global across the Americas. He will report to David Shanker, CEO The Americas, who comments: 'David's exceptional blend of experience includes a background in research, healthcare and market development, and positions him to provide strategic vision and ensure our businesses are exceeding customer needs.'
