Pat Molloy Becomes Data Liberation CEO

In the UK, MR technology consultancy Data Liberation has appointed industry veteran Pat Molloy as Chief Executive Officer, replacing founder Chris Morgan, who has moved to the role of Chairman and COO. Separately, Daniel Bailey becomes CTO and Deborah Whitworth CFO.

Established in 1992, Data Liberation offers knowledge management systems and data visualisation tools for use in customer and employee satisfaction, segmentation and mystery shopping programmes across all sectors. The firm has recently relocated to a new purpose-built office in the centre of Wimbledon, in order to accommodate growth.

Molloy (pictured) joins from media measurement specialist Salience Insight, where he served as Consulting Chief Information Officer. Earlier, he was CEO of Pulse Train when it was acquired by Confirmit in July 2007, then became Confirmit's Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to this he served as a main Board Director at NOP; MD of Quantime (later acquired by SPSS); and CTO at Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS). He is also a Committee Member at Triple-S Group and a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.

Commenting on Molloy's appointment, Morgan said: 'With the increasing importance of data wrangling, and the need for expertise, tools, techniques and specialised software to make sense of that data, Pat could not be joining at a more exciting time. Our consolidated experience, combined with the highly optimised software we have created lends itself to helping make significant headway against this onslaught of data.'

Bailey joined the firm in 1999, since when he has worked on the development of applications for survey design through to panel management, and more recently, the firm's reporting system. Whitworth joined in 2000 as Finance Director, after working as an international tax specialist for WPP-owned marcoms agency Young & Rubicam.
