MRS Hires Director of Policy and Standards

In the UK, the Market Research Society (MRS) has appointed non-practising barrister Dr Michelle Goddard as Director of Policy and Standards, to work alongside other regulatory authorities and public and professional trade bodies to ensure best practice across the sector.

Goddard (pictured) joins from Consumer Futures (now part of Citizens Advice), where she led consumer advocacy and research in postal services policy. Earlier, she was the Inquiry Secretary at the Competition Commission, CEO of the Fair Trading Commission in Barbados, and a Consumer Lawyer for Which? She currently sits on the Legal Services Consumer Panel advising on issues that affect consumers.
