In the US, social media management specialist Sprinklr has acquired community platforms specialist Pluck from parent company Demand Media. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.Founded in 2009 and based in New York City, Sprinklr offers a range of social media tools for customer relationship, campaign and audience management, as well as for analytics and reporting. Last year, the firm raised $40m in investment funding, and acquired influencer and advocacy marketing platform Branderati, social media and brand analytics firm Dachis Group, and social media ad platform TBG Digital.
Austin-based Pluck offers a suite of capabilities including features for product ratings, customer reviews and social media log-ins, which can be used in any combination anywhere on a brand site.
Ragy Thomas, founder and CEO of Sprinklr, comments: 'Over the last five years, we have built a fully extensible platform to comprehensively handle third party social media experiences. Acquiring Pluck is the next logical step for us, as it extends these capabilities to include first party experience management.'
