Face CEO and founding partner Andrew Needham is stepping back from the day-to-day running of the business to become Chairman, ahead of a planned exit later in the year. He is replaced by COO and co-founder Job Muscroft.
The Cello-owned co-creation agency, which operates from offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, has a turnover of more than £8m and a team of 60 comprising planners, researchers and social media specialists working on new product development, concept generation, brand insight and positioning projects. In 2013, Face launched a social media research platform called Pulsar TRAC, and Pulsar is now a business in its own right, with a team of fifteen and revenues of £2.5m.
In addition to the CEO change, Matt Arnold has been promoted from Head of UK Qual to Head of Research for Face UK and Asia; Cathy Parker-Sauer moves up from Production Manager to Global Operations Director for Face; James Cuthbertson takes on the role of Global Sales Director for Face and Pulsar; Andrew Ho, who is currently the MD of Face Asia, is moving to the US to become Managing Director for Face New York; and Philip McNaughton returns to the role of Senior Consultant, having previously led the US operation.
Commenting on the management changes, Muscroft (pictured) stated: 'Face has had a fantastic growth trajectory under the visionary leadership of Andrew Needham. We are proud to have been able to sustain such a rapid international expansion, by promoting our proven performers to senior leadership positions leaving us in a great position to continue this growth in partnership with our global clients.'
